When you use BillKeeper, we collect the following information: • Account info: Your name and email address when you sign up. • Business info: Business name, type, and ABN you provide during onboarding. • Bill data: Receipt images, vendor names, amounts, dates, categories, and other expense details you enter or our AI extracts from your uploads. • Payment info: Stripe handles all payment processing. We store your Stripe customer ID but never your credit card details. • Usage data: Basic analytics about how you use the app (e.g. pages visited, features used).

We use your information to: • Provide and improve the BillKeeper service. • Process your receipt images with AI to extract expense data. • Send you important account-related communications. • Process payments through Stripe. • Generate expense reports and exports you request. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.

When you upload receipts, our AI analyses the images to extract text and data. This processing is done to provide the core service. The extracted data is stored in your account and is not shared with other users. AI confidence scores are provided so you can verify accuracy.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. Receipt images are stored in secure cloud storage. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure.

IMPORTANT: While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, the developers and operators of BillKeeper are not responsible for any data loss, data corruption, or data breaches that may occur. This includes but is not limited to: • Loss of uploaded receipts, bill records, or exported files. • Inaccurate AI data extraction. • Service interruptions or outages. • Data loss resulting from account termination or technical failures. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of important financial records. BillKeeper should be used as a convenience tool and not as your only record of financial data. Always keep original receipts and documents as required by the ATO and applicable laws. Use of this service is at your own risk. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We use the following third-party services: • Stripe for payment processing ([Stripe Privacy Policy](https://stripe.com/privacy)). • AI/LLM services for receipt data extraction. • Cloud hosting for data storage and application delivery. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

You have the right to: • Access your personal data. • Request correction of inaccurate data. • Request deletion of your account and data. • Export your data at any time using our CSV or PDF export features. To exercise these rights, contact us through the app.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible but you may lose access to premium features. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
